Rough Faceted Blue Powder Tumbler

42.00

Post is for ONE handmade tumbler with rough faceting and powder blue stripes in speckled stoneware clay. The top and inside is glazed a mat white . ( tumbler is pictured in the first 3 pics).

These have a simple beauty, I use them as small vases as well, but also love that they hold a 12 oz beer perfectly!

This style plays with texture, having a raw unglazed texture of natural clay at the base, against a mat white glazed interior. The stripes are first carved into the cup and then filled in with the colored glaze - giving the tumbler extra texture and feeling pleasant in your hands.

Holds approx 18 oz, measures 3.25" wide and 4.25" in height.

Microwave and dishwasher safe.

Method: the tumbler is wheel thrown from a ball of iron rich (which creates the speckle effect) red clay. It is decorated with complementary pastel glazes. I diamond core sand the bottom of each piece for maximum smoothness on the base.

Signed and dated on the bottom.
